Nokia Pulse will be axed on August 30

Nokia has announced the conclusion of the location based messaging service - Nokia Pulse Beta, from August 30

Nokia Beta Labs has several great services and applications in beta trial testing phase. One of those services – Nokia Pulse will be discontinued on August 30. The multi-platform service that allows private messaging is automatically tagged with the location. Nokia Pulse was in beta and is available for Windows Phone, iOS and platforms.
Nokia Pulse
Nokia Pulse is the instant messaging service with location details for registered users who took part in the beta testing. The app also offers integration with Nokia Maps or HERE Maps for turn-by-turn navigation. The conversation updates are streamed real-time and messages can be shared over Facebook or Twitter social networks.

The service was discontinued earlier this year on Symbian and MeeGo platforms. Now the company has decided to axe the Pulse service on all mobile platforms. There is no indication on whether this service will be integrated with HERE Maps.
