Nokia Pixel, Ara, C2-00 PureView Android smartphones spotted on Geekbench

Earlier this week, Nokia officially revealed its plans to re-enter the smartphone industry. A slide in its presentation at Capital Markets Day had its plans for the year 2016,2017 and 2018, in which a bullet under the year 2017 read – ‘Nokia brand’s return to smartphones’.

In the past there were many report and leaks related to Nokia’s Android smartphones with the Nokia D1C smartphone among the most talked about phone due to its frequent leaks. Last month, we saw leaks about the Nokia P1 smartphone. Earlier in August, two of the Nokia Android powered smartphones were found listed on Geekbench website with model name Nokia 5320 and Nokia RM-1490. Now three more entry level Android smartphones named Nokia Pixel, Ara, and C2-00 PureView have been spotted on Geekbench.

As per specs mentioned there, the Nokia Pixel will be running on the Android 7.0.1 Nougat operating system. It will come with the 1.19 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8610) processor, along with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The phone scored 404 points in the single-core test and 661 points in the multi-core test.

The 2nd device in the same economy category is Nokia Ara which as per Geekbench listing comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. Like Nokia Pixel this too is powered by a 1.19 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8610) processor, along with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Here the phone scored 400 points in single-core test and 664 points in the multi-core test.

The 3rd device, named Genymotion Nokia C2-00 PureView, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It comes equipped with 2.99GHz Intel Pentium G3220 single-core processor, along with 1.5GB of RAM. This handset scored 2523 points in the single-core test and 2428 points in the multi-core test.
Meanwhile, new rumours of Nokia’s flagship Android smartphone have been surfaced online. According to the latest leak on Weibo, the upcoming Nokia flagship will boast metal unibody design and could have two variants, one with 5.2 inch display and another with 5.5 inch display. Both the variants will sport QHD (2560 x 1440 pixel) resolution. The smartphone is also expected to come with a powerful rear camera that will feature Carl Zeiss optics and could be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. Further as per leak, the smartphone will have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

Surprisingly, the above specifiactions almost matches with leaked details of Nokia P1 smartphone that we reported last month.
