Nokia Lumia 930 was formally announced in first week of April this year. Nokia and Microsoft are working together to make the Lumia 930 available in across the world. Meanwhile, the e-commerce website, Flipkart, has quietly listed the Nokia Lumia 930 with ‘coming soon’ tag. Obviously there is no hint on the pricing. However, there is no details listed on expected arrival date of the Lumia 630.
Nokia Lumia 930 features a 5-inch OLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution and touts the ClearBlack technology for darker blacks. Pushing the pixel density of 441 pixels per inch, the display has been manufactured using the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology to make it slimmer, lighter and scratch proof. This large screen device is powered by the quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile chipset, paired with 2 GB RAM and offers 32 GB on-board storage. There is no Memory card in this smartphone and it supports nano SIM type module.
Sporting Monoblock touch form factor, Nokia has placed the operation keys – Back, Menu and Search button just below the display area.
Nokia has armed it with a 20 Megapixel rear camera, which is backed by the PureView imaging technology and Carl Zeiss optics. With a 1/2.5-inch sensor, this camera offers f/2.4 Aperture and focus range of 10 cm. Nokia has added Dual-LED flash to help out in dark environments. This camera can record full HD videos and there are four high performance microphones to record high quality audio as well.
The Lumia exclusive apps such as Storyteller, Refocus, Panorama, Cinemagraph, Creative Studio and Nokia Camera App come pre-loaded on this smartphone.
Nokia has also integrated the Dolby Surround Sound technology in the Lumia 930 for rich audio experience while playing the recorded videos and enjoying other music files. Lumia 930 packs Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) along with Wi-Fi Channel bonding and screen projection, USB 2.0 port and Near Field Communication support.
Nokia Lumia 930 also integrates the high speed 4G LTE network supporting Bands (800 Mhz, 2100 Mhz, 1800 Mhz, 2600 Mhz and 900 Mhz). Hopefully, the Indian users will be able to use the Lumia 930 on 1800 Mhz Band whenever the LTE networks becomes active in select circles across the country. To run the Lumia 930 for above 15 hours, Nokia has packed non-removable 2420 mAh battery and supports the Qi Standard for wireless charging.
