Nokia is quietly working on the Windows Phone platform based 2014 Lumia smartphones with Windows Phone 8.1 expected on it. The EVLeaks shared an image of Lumia 630 smartphone in five different colours and has also hinted that it would be released this year itself. The leaked image of Nokia Lumia 630 clearly shows the on-screen buttons that bids adieu to the capacitive touch buttons on the Windows Phone devices. Along with the Lumia 630, Nokia plans to launch Lumia 630 and Lumia 930 at an event expected to take place on April 19.
Nokia Lumia 630 can be labelled as the iterative successor of the Lumia 620 smartphone released last year. The rumored specifications point at a 4-inch touchscreen display and the three Windows buttons – Back, Menu and Search – which will be integrated in the on-screen interface. Nokia will pack 1 GB RAM and also release a Dual-SIM version of this smartphone dubbed as Lumia 635. It is still not clear whether the Lumia 635 also is a successor of the large display bearing Lumia 625 smartphone. Nokia is also expected to release the Lumia 920 successor smartphone – Lumia 935.
The three new devices – Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 935 will be running Windows Phone 8.1 update that brings along several new features such as on-screen buttons. The interesting bit is that the Lumia 630 does not have an LED Flash. The phone will be introduced in five colours – Black, White, Yellow, Orange and Green.
Nokia had introduced the Lumia 620 last year for Rs 14,999 and noting that we expect the Lumia 630 to arrive at a similar price.
