Nokia has introduced its first dual-SIM Lumia smartphone Lumia 630 and affordable Lumia 635 promising 4G LTE network support. The Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 feature identical design and will run the new Windows Phone 8.1 update. Nokia has powered the Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile chipset. Featuring swappable back covers, the Lumia 630 will be sold in Bright Green, Bright Yellow, Black and White. While Lumia 635 will be available in Bright Orange, Bright Green, Bright Yellow, Black and White colour options.
Nokia Lumia 630 in single SIM and Dual SIM will be made available in May for Russia, Asia, China, India and Europe at a price of Rs 9600 approx. ($159) for single SIM and Rs 10,200 approx. ($169) for dual SIM variant. While the Nokia Lumia 635 will roll out in July at a price starting Rs 11400 approx. ($189). Both Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 will feature on-screen operating keys integrated in the user interface.
Nokia Lumia 630
Nokia has packed 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with 854×480 pixel resolution and integrating the Nokia ClearBlack technology. This display pushes pixel density of 221 pixels per inch and has been constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology for protection against wear and tear. Measuring 9.2 mm thick, the Lumia 630 is powered by a quad-core 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile Chipset coupled with 512 MB RAM and 8 GB on-board storage. This smartphone offers memory card to support up to 128 GB micro SD card.
At the back rests a 5 megapixel camera with without any LED Flash. The smartphone will also feature Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and packs 1830 mAh battery to offer Talk time of 13 hours.
Nokia Lumia 635
Bearing the exact same specifications of the Lumia 630 smartphone, the Lumia 635 will support the LTE bands 800 Mhz, 1800 MHz and 2600 Mhz. And of course, there is no dual-SIM variant of this smartphone.
Nokia has implemented new Word Flow keyboard that offers swipe gesture based input. Social networking apps such as WhatsApp, WeChat come pre-loaded along with Nokia Lumia family apps such as Nokia Camera, MixRadio and HERE Maps.
Nokia has also integrated SensorCre low-power sensing technique in the device for real-time monitoring and storing data related to fitness as well as health such as steps taken, calories burned and miles walked to the Bing Health and Fitness app. The dual SIM Lumia 630 will support 3G network in one of the SIM slots.
In terms of design, Nokia has slowly shifted to the clean looking monoblock touch design with rounded corners.
