Nokia a few weeks back had announced its entry into the consumer product segment, which it had left after selling its mobile business to Microsoft, with N1 Android tablet. And now it has truly entered this segment with the launch of Nokia N1 tablet in China. Presently it is taking pre orders for it and will start shipping the device pretty soon. It is priced at $249 or about Rs 15,380 (without taxes).
Nokia N1 comes pre-loaded with latest Android 5.0 operating system along with Z1 launcher. It offers 7.9 inch display with 2048×1536 pixels density. This IPS LCD touchscreen has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The tablet runs on a 64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2 GB RAM.
The Nokia N1 has 32GB built-in memory but has no expandable storage slot. It has an 8 Megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera. There is a huge 5300 mAh battery in the tablet which has unibody aluminum design and is available in natural Aluminum and Lava Gray colors. Besides, Nokia N1 has dual Band WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro USB 2.0 port.
