Nokia D1C images and specs leaked again, confirms Android Nougat in tow

The company is expected to showcase Nokia D1C during upcoming MWC 2017.

It been a series of never ending rumors and leaks for much hyped Noka D1C smartphone with the latest round of leaks revealing a bunch of new image renders along with some new specifications.

If new leaks are to be believed, the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 600 series processor, contradicting the earlier leaks which suggested that the smartphone will come equipped with a Snapdragon 430 SoC. Further, the smartphone will have 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and the smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Moreover, as per leak, the high-end Nokia D1C variant will houses a fingerprint sensor, which will be embedded on its home button, whereas the standard variant of the smartphone will ditch the fingerprint sensor.

Previously, the Nokia D1C was expected to come in two variants- a 2GB RAM and a 3GB RAM variant, to be priced at $150 (approximately Rs 10,111) and $200 (approximately Rs 13,481) respectively. Now as per new leaks, it would be safe to assume that the smartphone might have multiple variants.

As per earlier leaks, the basic 2GB variant of Nokia D1C will feature a 5-inch full (1080p) display, a 13-megapixel primary camera and a metal frame with polycarbonate back design to be available in Black and White colour variants. On the other hand, the 3GB variant is expected to come with a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and a 16-megapixel rear camea built around an all-metal unibody design and will also house a fingerprint sensor in its home button. Also,this variant is expected to come in Gold Colour.

After getting through the rounds of GFXBench, GeekBench and AnTuTu, last month, alleged images of Nokia D1C were also surfaced online on Chinese social media platform, Weibo.

Nokia is expected to make a comeback sometime next year, possibily at the time of Mobile World Congress 2017. After selling out its feature phone business to HMD Global, the company might showcase few of the Nokia Android phones during the upcoming MWC 2017 of which one of the phones might be the Nokia D1C.
