Nokia 8 gets listed for pre-order, but it might be fake

There are strong possibilities that HMD Global might spill some beans on Nokia 8 as well, along with other handsets during MWC 2017.

Recently we have reported that HMD Global might announce four Nokia handset at MWC 2017, which is scheduled to be held on Feb 26 in Barcelona, which include Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 (which is as of now is China exclusive), and a new avatar of all time favorite Nokia 3310 feature phone. But to our biggest surprise long-rumoured flagship device ‘Nokia 8’ has been found listed on a Chinese online re-seller ‘Jingdong’ and Hong Kong based re-seller named ‘smartd boutir’, which hints towards the possible launch of the said smartphone soon and now there are strong possibilities that HMD Global mightspill some beans on Nokia 8 as well, along with other handsets during MWC 2017.

The Nokia 8 smartphone is listed for pre-order on Jingdong at a price tag of CNY 3,188, which is approximately Rs 31,033. However, this listing is from a third party seller, named GIT communication digital flagship store. On the other hand, the Hong Kong-based re-seller has already started accepting the booking at ahefty price of HKD 5999, which is approximately Rs 51,774.

NEW UPDATE: As per a new claim by a webiste named as Nokiapoweruser, the listing of the Nokia 8 might be fake and the website users not to fall for this trap. However, there is no official confirmation as well so we suggest you to take this report with a grain of salt.

As of now there is no details regarding its features and specifications mentioned on both the listings. However based on earlier reports here are the expected specifications of Nokia 8.

The device is rumoured to come with a 5.7-inch Super with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution with Gorilla Glass Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is rumoured to be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or most likely to have Snapdragon 821 processor. It will be clubbed with 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to have two storage variants- 64GB and 128GB, both of which will be expandable upto 256GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the smartphone is expected to offer a 24-megapixel camera with Zeiss certification, OIS (optical image stabilisation), Super EIS and dual-tone LED Flash, and a 12-megapixel shooter on thefront for selfies. The smartphone will be backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. The Nokia 8 is also said to come equipped with a fingerprint scanner along with dual front-facing speakers and will run on 7.0 Nougat operating system. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11ac), 4.2, and GPS. Further, the Nokia 8 will have certification for water and dust resistance. As for the launch, nothing has been out from an authentic source as yet and so it’s better to wait for the official announcement.
