Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 to come with Snapdragon 660 processor, might also sport CarlZeiss lens

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC hasn't been announced yet so we cannot comment as to when is Nokia expected to bring out these two devices.

Nokia made one of the key announcements at the MWC 2017 last month unveiling three smartphones and the famous Nokia 3310 feature phone. However, the company’s long anticipated Nokia P1 smartphone didn’t show up at the event. Interestingly, some new reports suggest that Nokia P1 might be named as Nokia 9 which would then mean that the Finnish giant might be working on a couple of mid-range smartphones.

Nokiapoweruser, who is pretty active when we tap rumours relating to Nokia smartphones. As per the report, the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 are likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 660 chipset. Other specifications hint at a Full (1080p) display on the Nokia 7 while Nokia 8 is expected to be powered by a Quad HD display. Further, might see the CarlZeiss lens making a comeback on Nokia smartphones with these two devices.

In terms of design, we expect Nokia to be a little different on the aesthetics as the company is known to push out several devices with a similar design language. We also expect Nougat out of the box. For other specifications, it is too early to comment or speculate as we have actually heard about this devices for the first time.

Meanwhile, Nokia hasn’t hinted anything related to the India launch of the recently announced Nokia devices. Though we expect it to land sometime in Q2 2017. We also have no information about the price, as of now, but we will not be surprised if Nokia charges a bit of premium on its devices especially in a country like India, where the brand value for the Finnish giant is on par with the likes of Apple and Samsung.
