Nokia 6 isn’t being sold via flash sales model: HMD Global

Nokia 6 has been on everybody’s mind ever since it was launched. The first time the device was made available, it went out of stock within one minute.

If you were wondering that Nokia 6 was going out of stock because it was sold via flash sales, then you are wrong. HMD Global who is basically selling Nokia branded smartphones have confirmed to Nokia Power User that the device is not being sold out via flash sales rather it has been just available twice in China. Due to an overwhelming response, Nokia 6 is being sold out within minutes indicating a possibility of being sold via flash sales on JD.com.

HMD Global told Nokia Power User that – “Actually we have been updating the inventory on JD.com more than 3 times but those were usually gone within minutes or hours, so that’s why you have the impression that we were doing flash sales,”

“We will keep supply to JD for sure and now the Chinese New Year holiday is mostly over and everybody’s back for work, you can expect more supplies in the coming days and weeks,”

Nokia 6 has been on everybody’s mind ever since it was launched. The first time the device was made available, it went out of stock within one minute. The second time it came back in stock, HMD Global claimed to have received about 1.4 million registrations.

Currently, Nokia 6 is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs 16,700) and is expected to hit the Indian shores soon. Further, the company is also expected to unveil the device at the upcoming MWC 2017 along with other Nokia-branded smartphones as well.

Talking about the specifications, Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with 3 protection.The company claims that it has taken 55 minutes to machine a single Nokia 6 from a solid block of 6000 series aluminium and received two separate anodising processes. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 along with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone is backed by 4GB of and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button.

On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone flash. While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 for selfies and video calling. The Nokia 6 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), 4.1, GPS, OTG support, Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers, and Dolby Atmos.
