HMD Global has announced the launch of two new variants of its latest Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone in India. The brand has introduced 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants of the smartphone.
The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 14,499 and the 6GB RAM option with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 16,499. The new variants will be available on starting from February 07, 2019 on the company’s official store and both of them will be made available across offline retailers starting from February 12, 2019.
To recall, the company introduced the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant in September last year for Rs 10,999. However, the company recently slashed the price of the base variant and it is now available for Rs 9,999 on Flipkart. All the variants will be available for purchase in Gloss Black, Gloss White and Gloss Midnight Blue colour options.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution 1520 x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
For optics, Nokia 5.1 Plus is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary with LED Flash, PDAF and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for AI portrait shots at the rear panel. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera for video calling and selfies with AI-powered features.
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and just like Nokia 6.1 Plus, it comes Android One branding. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, Dual-SIM and USB Type-C port.
