HMD Global launched Nokia-branded smartphones, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, in India last month. While Nokia 3 is already on sale in India, Nokia 5 pre-bookings starts from today, July 7 in India. The Nokia 5 is priced at Rs 12,899, and it is available exclusively through offline retail stores. The premium of all, Nokia 6 will be available will be available on Amazon India and it will be available for pre-booking from July 14 in India.
How to Pre-order
HMD Global has yet not revealed the date on which the Nokia 5 smartphone will be available for purchase. But as per reports, it will happen by the end of July. Now since the Nokia 5 is an only offline exclusive deal, you won’t find the device on e-commerce websites like Flipkart or Amazon. So for purchasing, you need to first pre-order the device. And for pre-order, you have to visit the nearest dealer who is taking the pre-orders for Nokia 5. So once you find any retailer shop, you can easily pre-order the device for purchase.
Recently Nokia 3, which was earlier an offline smartphone, was listed online on Croma (an electric store) as well after offline bookings. So may be Nokia 5 also goes Nokia 3 way and might be also sold by Croma online. But as of now, Nokia 5 is not listed on the Croma’s online store. So, we have to wait to see if it actually becomes online in coming days or not.
Nokia 5 Specifications
Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Underneath the hood, the device will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, paired with Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU. For the memory, we have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, dual toned LED flash while at the front we get an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view and auto focus.
Powering the entire device is a 3000 mAh battery, and Nokia 5 does have a 3.5 mm Headphone jack. For connectivity, we get Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS and for the sensors, Nokia has given in Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, Hall sensor, gyroscope and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm.
