Nokia 3310 facing supply crunch in India

Nokia 3310 was launched on May 18 in India

Nokia 3310, which was announced for Indian market on May 18 for Rs 3310 is facing supply issues as most of the retailers are complaining about its shortage across the country.

Some the retailers based in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andra Pradesh with whom The Mobile Indian spoke said on condition on anonymity, “ There is a severe shortage of Nokia 3310 and most of the times when supplies are released we just get 2-3 unit.”

They further added, “Most of the customers who have enquired about 3310 a couple of times usually vent out their anger on us when we say, please leave your number, and we will call you when the phone arrives as we are short of supply.”

One of the retailers from Mumbai said, ” When we are not able to give customers a definitive date about the availability of Nokia 3310, some of the disappointed customers have even gone ahead and bought feature phones from Micromax.”

When we contacted HMD, distributors of Nokia phones, spokesperson, they acknowledged the shortage and said, “ There is a huge demand for Nokia 3310, and we are trying to send shipment in the market at regular intervals.” On retailers complaining about getting just 2-3 units, the spokesperson said, “ We are not aware of it but will try to check the ground reality and get back to you.”

Nokia 3310 is available in four different colours options- Warm Red and Yellow: both with a gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey: both with a matte finish.As far as specifications are concerned, the Nokia 3310 comes with a 2.4-inch screen with the of 240×320 pixels along with a 16GB internal storage with the option to expand further up to 32GB via micro card.

It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash along with Nokia Series 30+ operating system. A 1200 mAh battery powers the device. Regarding connectivity, it has a Dual SIM, Micro USB (2.0), 3.0 with SLAM, 3.5 mm jack and 2G network support.
