In a bid to lure customers to its network, state owned operator BSNL launched a promotional offer that waives Porting charges of Rs 19 for subscribers shifting to its network from another operator’s.
New BSNL users will also get 100 per cent talktime on recharge, and if there is a scheme that offers more talktime than recharge value, the better scheme shall prevail. For instance, if for Rs 299 there is a scheme that offers Rs 500 worth of talktime, you will get talktime of Rs 500 instead of just Rs 299.
New converts to BSNL’s network will also get to use more data free of cost: on 2G from the existing 50 MB to 200 MB and on 3G from 200 MB to 500 MB. In addition, both 2G and 3G postpaid customers will receive a 50 per cent discount on fixed monthly charges for the first month.
The best part is that all the other freebies like free SMS and video calls that come with existing plans will be available over and above this scheme.
