Nikon has announced the launch of its new camera under its Coolpix series in India. Dubbed as Coolpix B600, the price of the camera are yet to be disclosed by the company.
The major highlight of the Coolpix camera is the 60x Optical Zoom lens, which the company claims can cover a wide range of focal length beginning from Wide-Angle 24mm and extending to super-telephoto 1440mm equivalent. The brand claims that one can take up to 120x zoom when Dynamic Fine Zoom is enabled. The camera comes with an option of 19 Scene mode and the camera settings are optimised to capture a high-quality image.
The Coolpix B600 comes with pre-focus function and there is a target finding AF through which the camera achieves sharp focus in zoom or low-lit shooting scenarios. It is also equipped with Vibration Reduction (VR) to reduce vibration equivalent up to 3.0 stop. Then there is a 4-Axis Hybrid VR system through users can shoot videos or images in a dark situation. Furthermore, in macro mode, the B600 is able to focus on subjects as close as approximately one centimetre (or 0.4 inches) from the centre of the front surface of the lens.
There is a side zoom control on the left-hand side of the camera, which ensure smooth zooming. The camera comes with the snap-back zoom button, which recaptures lost subject in super-telephoto zoom to its previous position when the button is released. The Nikon Coolpix B600 is compatible with SnapBridge 2.5, which allows users to send images to the smartphone and acts as a remote camera control as well.
