Mobile value added service provider, Digivive will soon launch the Windows Phone 8 version of its live TV application, called NexGtv.
This was revealed by Jaskirat Singh Gill, vice president, marketing, products and content, who told The Mobile Indian that the work on the Windows Phone 8 application is currently under way. However, he did not revealed any other details of the application.
Digivive is also planning to launch a HD TV streaming service for mobile phone users in the next few weeks. The service will be brought under the video on demand subscription model where in users can choose a weekly or a monthly subscription for their favorite channel bouquet and stream it to their devices. The pricing information and the release date of the service will however be shared in the coming few days.
NexGtv application provides users access to live TV channels and video on demand on mobile phones and tablets. This app is available for all major mobile operating systems including Android, Apple iOS, BlackBerry and Nokia Symbian platforms.
Some of the features of the NexGtv app include full screen viewing, fast channels launch and switching, integrated TV guide, delete channels and interactive on-screen controls, picture in picture mode, brightness control, volume control and adaptive bit-rate streaming that adapts video quality as per the available data network.
NexGtv offers a range of national and regional channels which include news, entertainment, devotional, music and full length movies as well. The service primarily offers content in paid as well as free form with all the premium content presently is available for users starting at as low as Rs 75 to 90 for 30 days depending upon the telecom operator.
