A new Huawei smartphone with model No eH880 has been spotted on Chinese certification agency, TENAA. The smartphone has the same specs as the older Huawei Mate 8. So thus it is being speculated that Huawei might launch this eH880 as a refreshed version of older Mate 8. As per reports, Huawei might add Force Touch display to this new Mate 8.
The Force Touch display technology is quite similar to Apple’s 3D Touch on iPhones which allows to perform different functions with slight change in pressure. For instance with a longer press you might activate sharing functionality in gallery while a light press might be attributed to the editing function.
As per the TENAA listing, the eH880 has a 6-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. It offers 64GB of internal storage, 128 GB expandable storage via a micro SD card, a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, an 8 megapixel front facing camera and a 3900 mAh battery. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion 4.0 UI. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a Micro USB 2.0 port. The phone is 157.3 mm tall, 80.6 mm wide and 8.2 mm thin and it weighs 185 grams.
