Smartphones with quad core Processor and high clock speeds have to suffer because of higher temperatures as they cannot dissipate heat due to their design. But now Japanese electronics brand, Nippon Electronics Corporation (NEC) has launched a smartphone that comes with liquid cooling solution that aims to keep the temperature of the phone under control.
The phone, named as Medias X NEC has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor that utilizes a passive heat exchange system using a graphite based radiator placed on the device for heat dissipation. The two are connected through liquid coolant that flows inside the device for cooling its processor as the inquisitor reports.
The NEC Medias X has a 4.78 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It has a 13 Megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera as well.
The device is likely to be sold only in Japan however the company might be interested in selling the same liquid cooling technology to other device manufacturers as well. If that happens we will surely get even faster devices minus the heat.
For instance the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor is capable of running up to 1.9 GHz but due to heat issues the manufactures are forced to clock the devices up to 1.6-1.7 GHz.
