HMD Global has introduced its next generation of Nokia-branded smartphones along with the much-rumoured Nokia 9 PureView smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. The company has introduced Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 210 feature phone.
The Nokia 9 PureView comes with a price of $699 and it will be available from March 2019. The Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2 is priced at $169 and $139 respectively and both of them will be available from April 2019. The Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 210 feature phone is priced at $99 and $35 and both them will be available from early March and next week respectively.
Nokia 9 PureView
Starting with the Nokia 9 PureView, this is world’s first smartphone to feature five cameras at the rear. HMD has partnered with Zeiss for its new penta-camera setup. The setup consist of five 12-megapixel Sensors out of which three are monochromatic lenses and two are RGB sensors. The company claims that each camera be controlled individually and all the cameras can take photos simultaneously to offer high dynamic range. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 9 PureView is backed by a 5.99-inch pOLED QHD display with HDR support. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor as well. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it runs on 3320mAh battery with Qi wireless charging support. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 155 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs 172 grams.
Nokia 4.2
Coming to Nokia 4.2, the smartphone is equipped with a dewdrop notch and it features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 270 ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and it will be available in 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card slot.
On the camera front, it is equipped with a dual-camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 Aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, Google Assistant button and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 148.95 x 71.30 x 8.39 mm and weighs 161 grams.
Nokia 3.2
Nokia 3.2 from HMD Global also features a dewdrop notch and it features a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution 1520 x 720 pixels along with 269 ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor along with 2GB/3GB of RAm and 16GB/32GB of internal storage.
For optics it is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie.
Nokia 1 Plus
Nokia 1 Plus is equipped with a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS display with a pixel density of 197ppi and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6739WW processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The device features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The phone runs on 2500mAh battery and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition). The phone measures 145.04 X 70.4 X 8.55 mm.
Nokia 210
Lastly, the Nokia 210 is the new feature phone from the company. The phone features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and it is powered by a MT6260A processor. The phone runs on S30+ operating system and it has 16MB of internal storage. The phone has a VGA camera and it is equipped with a 1020mAh battery, which delivers a Talk time of 18 hours and up to 20 days of standby time.
