MTS has extended its high-speed mobile Broadband service, MBlaze, to eight more towns of Karnataka that includes Chitradurga, Hospet, Bidar, Dodaballpur, Chikmagalur, Bagalkote, Karwar and Sarjapur. With this, the total number of towns with MBlaze service has reached to 35 in the state.
Suresh S Kumar, chief operating officer, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh circles, MTS India, said, “We are excited to expand the MBlaze network to eight more towns across Karnataka circle. Our high speed mobile broadband service is now available in 35 towns in Karnataka.”
An MTS spokesperson further said that “the operator has very aggressive plans for its MBlaze service and will continue to add new towns and cities to the current number of 150 (all over India).”
He, however, did not disclose the number of towns to be added in next three months. But, given the past record, we expect double-digit additions in coming months.
Tariff plans for MTS Mblaze service starts at Rs 96 and goes up to Rs 999 for unlimited usage for 30 days. It also offers free surfing on popular websites like Yahoo and Wikipedia.
MTS has also tied up with Hewlett Packard (HP), which will offer MBlaze device for just Rs 699 on purchase of HP laptops and is available in both post-paid and pre-paid option. Additionally, users will get data usage of 3GB at just Rs 444 per month for lifetime.
MTS is offering mobile TV service through MBLaze, which includes video streaming, high quality audio/video download and live play back along with live TV and on demand video channels.
