Motorola announced the new MOTOACTV, a wearable fitness tracker and smart music player. This fitness can be worn on the arm or on the wrist to track the fitness routine as well as health related statistics to stay update with vital statistics. The MOTOACTV can be synced with a computer to transfer music that will help you perform the best while working out.
Appearing like the Apple iPod nano, the new MOTOACTV comes with Motorola AccuSense technology along with GPS chip for measuring the workout performance by offering details like miles covered, calories burned and other fitness facts. Users can connect this device with the MOTOACTV.com portal for more of social sharing experience with personal data and compete/learn from fellow users.
Motorola will also offer a free mobile App for the compatible smartphones that can be synced with the MOTOACTV. Users can then receive tips and expert advice form the fitness gurus.
Sporting different capacities, the MOTOACTV can hold up to 4000 songs and automatically generates the playlist that will help boosting the performance. It also comes with built-in FM radio for those who love listening to radio. The MOTOACTV features 1.6-inch full touchscreen display made using Corning Gorilla Glass to make it scratch resistant along with water/sweat proof.
This device features ANT+ technology and has Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. With two weeks of standby time, the MOTOACTV offers 10 hours of indoor workout time offering battery life. The MOTOACTV will be available in US from November 6 at price of $249 for 8GB version and $299 for 16GB version.
