After announcing the update for the device earlier, Motorola has finally rolled out the latest Android Nougat update for its Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India. As mentioned above, Motorola India had already announced the roll out of the latest Android OS for the said devices on its official website.
The Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including split-screen multi-tasking, more customisable quick settings, better battery life, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which comes in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.

As far as specs are concerned, Moto G4 and G4 Plus have most things in common but the latter has additional fingerprint sensor and better cameras.
Both Moto G4 and G4 Plus have a 5.5 inch display with full HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphones are just 7.9 mm thick and have 3000 mAh battery. They also come with turbo charger that claims to offer 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging. Inside, both the Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 are armed with 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Processor (Snapdragon 617) paired with Adreno 405 GPU.
For the camera, the Moto G4 Plus has 16 MP camera with PDAF, auto focus, laser auto focus for low light, Omni vision Pure sensor, professional mode, Auto HDR, panorama, ad drag to focus exposure features. It has a 5 Megapixel front camera. On the other hand, the Moto G4 has 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Both the phones have 4G LTE connectivity, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and FM radio. Moreover, as mentioned above, Moto G4 Plus also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the front while the G4 doesn’t. For the storage, both the devices come with two variants – a 16GB with 2GB RAM variant and a 32GB with 3GB RAM variant. Lastly, while the Moto G4 is selling at Rs 10,499 and Rs 11,999 for the 16GB and 32GB variants respectively, the Moto G4 Plus is selling at Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999 for the 16GB and 32GB variants respectively.
