Motorola seems to be working on the successor to the Razr 2022 that debuted in October last year. The new upcoming foldable from Motorola should be called Razr 2023 whose design has been tipped via a few leaks. The leaks show that the Razr 2023 will have a cover screen that would be bigger than last year’s model and would almost fill the entire top rear panel. Read on to know more about the foldable.
Motorola Razr 2023 Leaked Design
The leak comes from two sources, including tipster Evan Blass and from a publication called ‘TheTechOutlook’. As per the images from Evan Blass (@evleaks), the Motorola Razr 2023 will have a large cover display, covering almost the entire top rear area of the device. The outer display of the foldable smartphone will have three cutouts at the bottom right, housing the dual-camera setup as well as the LED flash.
The exact dimensions of the cover display are unknown, however, it can be seen that the Razr 2023 would definitely have a larger cover display than the 3.26-inch outer screen of the Oppo Find N2 Flip and the 1.9-inch display on the Galaxy Z Flip4 from Samsung.
The leak from the publication on the other hand shows that the Razr 2023 might not have a camera cutout on the inside. This suggests that the device could either have an under-display camera or may not have one at all as the rear cameras can function as selfie Sensors too, thanks to such a big cover screen. When using the foldable screen, this will also aid in creating an immersive viewing experience, the report added.
As for the Razr 2022, it sported a 6.7-inch foldable OLED hole-punch primary display with a 144Hz refresh rate, support for 10-bit colours, HDR10+, and DC dimming. There is a 2.7-inch OLED outer cover display that can be used for various functions such as access to notifications, check the weather, among others.
