Motorola has finally announced the price and availability of the second generation Moto X. The new Moto X is priced at Rs 31,999 and will be made available from midnight of September 24. The new Motorola handset will also come with customisable back covers just like the first generation Moto X.
Second generation Moto X offers 5.2-inch OLED display with full HD resolution and has been constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. New Moto X pushes pixel density of 423 pixels per inch and aims to deliver vivid colours and crisp text. To compliment the large display, Moto X houses a quad-core 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC mobile Chipset and 2 GB RAM. It will be sold with 16 GB on-board storage. The 9.97 mm thick second generation Moto X weighs 144 grams.
Motorola has included a 13 megapixel camera at the back of the phone with f/2.25 Aperture for the imaging enthusiasts. One can easily click high resolution images and full HD videos using this camera. In the front, it has a 2 megapixel camera capable of holding a full HD video calls. Motorola has added WiFi 802.11 ac support for fast mobile web experience and downloads.
Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, micro USB port and standard audio port. Front facing speakers ensure better sound output delivery. Motorola Moto X 2nd Gen has a 2300 mAh battery.
Motorola has integrated all the different apps in one single Moto App which brings in Moto Assist, Moto Actions, Moto Voice (previously known as Touchless control) and Motorola Display (Active Display).
The new Moto X brings improvement in the display, processor, camera and design aspect compared to the predecessor model. Starting midnight consumers will be able to purchase the second generation Moto X from Flipkart website. Motorola will also offer the wood finish and leather back bearing Moto X variants for Rs 33,999.
