Motorola now is owned by Lenovo but that doesn’t mean the phones coming under these brands are not competing with each other. For instance, the newly launched Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs 13,499 and is pitted against Lenovo’s latest Zuk Z1 smartphone.
So let’s see how they fare against each other.

Motorola Moto G4 Plus vs Lenovo Zuk Z1

Design

The Moto G4 Plus has a plastic back panel and it comes with a 5.5 inch display. The phone has a 3000 mAh battery and it weighs 155 grams. The matte finished rear panel has very fine texture finishing. And it looks quite good with the vertical rear camera module below which lies the iconic Motorola logo. In short, it has the same design elements as its predecessors which liked and disliked at the same time by many. So we leave it to you guys to take a call on its design.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is lot different than the G4 Plus in terms of visual elements. It has a metal and glass body. The curved sides are made of metal while the slightly arched back has glass coating. Though I doubt its back panel to be a fingerprint magnet, but everyone would admit that it looks much better than the G4 Plus.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is though quite heavy at 175 grams and it measures 155.7×77.3×8.9 mm (height, width, thickness). Remember, it too has a 5.5 inch display but has a bigger 4100 mAh battery.
The Motorola phone however has got an additional water repelling coating.
Display
The Lenovo Zuk Z1’s 5.5 inch screen has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) and thus it offers 401 ppi pixel density. The screen has 450 nits of brightness and fingerprint coating.
The 5.5 inch screen of G4 Plus also has full HD resolution. And it has coating. It is not clear as of now whether the Zuk Z1’s display has Gorilla Glass protection or not. But in any case, I would recommend you to use a protective cover like tempered glass on the display, no matter which phone you choose.
OS
The Zuk Z1 has the Cyanogen 12.1 operating system which is based on Lollipop 5.1.1 version. The Cyanogen version promises more clarity and smoother operations than default Android UI. Well, Cyanogen is being hailed by many for its features but if you want simpler Android version than I would recommend the Moto G4 Plus which has the vanilla interface. What’s more, it comes with the latest Android Marshmallow version.
