A Motorola smartphone with model name Motorola XT 1607 has been found listed on Indian export import website Zauba. This means that the phone may get launched in India quite soon, though Motorola has not said anything about it yet.
As per media reports, the Motorola XT 1607 will be launched in India as Motorola Moto G4 Play. The Indian version will have 16GB ROM/2GB RAM and is expected to be priced around Rs 8,999.
Motorola had announced Moto G4 Play smartphone in May this year.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Motorola Moto G4 Play features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with water repellent nano-coating. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, which is clubbed with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, and has an optional expandable memory slot of 128GB capacity. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and comes packed with a 2800 mAh battery.
The Moto G4 Play has an 8-megapixel shooter with LED flash light on its back, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front. The rear camera has Æ’/2.2 aperture, Tap (anywhere) to capture, 4X digital zoom, Burst mode, Auto HDR, Panorama, Drag to focus & exposure, and 1080p HD video (30 fps) recording features. Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light sensors. The handset measures 144.4 x 72 x 8.95-9.9 mm and weighs around 137 grams.
