Motorola has announced a new Moto Mod, which comes with Amazon Alexa virtual assistant. The new mod comes with a price tag of $150 and it is compatible with Moto Z lineup. The mod will be available in November and it will be sold at Amazon, Best Buy, Verizon and Motorola official website.
The new mod is called the Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa and as the name suggests it comes with Amazon’s virtual assistant. Just like any other Moto Mod, this one can be attached immediately via magnetic pogo pins at the back of the Moto Z smartphones.

The mod comes loaded with a 1530mAh battery that the company claims it can deliver up to 15 hours of life on a single charge. There two 27mm diameter speakers with 8W power to give a stereo sound effect. The mod comes with four far-field microphones that help Alexa to recognize different commands. Additionally, the mod comes with nano-coating that makes it splash-resistant. Lastly, there is a LED ring glow, which looks similar to what we have seen in other Amazon Echo devices.
