Motorola Moto X Force, the first phone in the world to offer a shatter proof screen, will be launched in India in January, claimed IBNLive. Meanwhile, Motorola has officially announced that it will launch the Moto G Turbo in India this week itself.
“Power up and get ready for #TurboMode! 3 Days to go for Moto G Turbo edition. Coming soon!,” Motorola said in its latest tweet.
As far as Moto X Force goes, IBNLive quoted Amit Boni, general manager, Motorola India as saying, “The Moto X Force will soon be introduced in India. It has the same Moto ShatterShield display technology. Also, the name “Droid Turbo 2” is exclusive to the US; the same phone will be introduced as the Moto X Force in India and other countries.â€
Motorola Moto G Turbo likely to be a mid range handset with below Rs 20K price tag while Motorola could launch the Moto X Force as its flagship device in India
The Motorola Moto X Force is armed with a 5.4 inch display that has Quad HD or 2560×1440 pixels resolution. But the highlight of this phone is the strength of this display. As per Motorola, it has made this display using ShatterShield technology in which it makes the display with rigid aluminum core on top of which lies AMOLED flexible display to absorb shocks.
Like the display, the Moto X Force looks equally tough from inside with the 2 GHz octa core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB RAM and 2 TB expandable storage capacity. It comes in 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. The phone though comes with the Android Lollipop version and not the latest Android Marshmallow operating system.
Besides, the Motorola Moto X Force offers a 21 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto focus and dual LED flash light. For selfies, it has a 5 megapixel front camera. The smartphone offers 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi and a 3760 mAh battery. This 169 grams weighing smartphone is 7.6mm and comes in black colour and has a water repelling coating.
On the other hand, the Moto G Turbo is likely to be in the mid-range segment as it has similar specs as the Moto X Play. It is said to have been launched in Mexico last month. It reportedly comes with an octa-core CPU, 5-inch HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 2,470mAh battery, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 MP front camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and dual SIM. It is said to be IP67 certified and is being sold at $283 or Rs 18,904 approximately in Mexico.
