Leaks have now started piling up for the upcoming Motorola’s Moto M. After getting certified by TENNA back in August, Last week Weibo released couple of images showing Moto M in an advertisement.
Today again coming from leak HQ China, fresh image leaks confirm that the device will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Septembers security patch as of now. As shown in the image, the model number will be XT1662. The device is tipped to be Motorola’s first smartphone having the fingerprint scanner at the back.
In terms of design, based on images leaked, it will sport a metallic uni-body design with curved edges at the back.
Recollecting the specifications, Moto M is expected to come with a 5.5 inch Full HD display. Motorola is likely to give it a MediaTek’s MT6750 chipset, which has a 1.9 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU. The smartphone might come with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB internal storage respectively.
The primary camera on Moto M is expected to be a 16 Megapixel shooter while an 8 megapixel camera might be in its front. As evident from the latest image leaks, the phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also, the device is expected to come with 4G, VoLTE, GPS capability and a 3000 mAh battery to juice it up.
Interestingly, another Moto M device was also spotted earlier with a smaller 4.6 inch full HD display but rumours about the same didn’t match up with reality.
However, there is yet no information (or leak) about the price as well as the launch date. Given the fact that the majority of the latest leaks are turning up from China, the smartphone is likely to be launched in China first.
