High Resolution images of Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone, dubbed as Moto G 4th-gen (Moto G4), have been leaked online via a French website, Nowhereelse. As per the leaked images, the smartphone has a fingerprint scanner under the screen at the front.
Earlier in January this year, a senior executive of Lenovo, which owns Motorola, had revealed that all Motorola phones released 2016 onwards will have fingerprint sensor. Now the Moto G4 images confirm the same.
The leaked images show a square physical home button at the center alongside a microphone on the left. The home button will reportedly double up as a fingerprint sensor as well. On the back of the phone there is a camera array that looks similar to previous versions of the Moto G, but has two extra holes which are expected for camera sensors of some kind. The phone has a usual Moto branding at the back.
Some days ago popular leakster, Evan Blass had also posted an image on Twitter showing another variant, Moto G4 Plus. However, the image showed only the home button and not the full handset. Another person, Roland Quandt of WinFuture tweeted some specifications of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. As per his tweet, Moto G4 is said to come with 5.5 inch display, 16 GB Internal Memory and 13 Megapixel camera while Moto G4 Plus is said to come with 5.5 inch display, 16 GB internal memory and 16 megapixel camera. Both may be priced around €240-280, or about Rs 18,000- Rs 21,000 approximately and will come in black and white colours.
If the reports are to be believed, Motorola is expected to announce Moto G4 this year in May along with Moto G4 Plus in May. We have to wait for some time to know more on this.
