Milagrow launches Android tablet

Android 2.3 based tablet offers high end features in a new screen size of 8 inches and is priced at Rs 25,000 and Rs 29,500 for the 16GB and the 32GB model respectively.

Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions, a Gurgaon-based tech-enabled solutions provider for businesses, has entered the Indian tablet market with the launch of ‘TabTop PC’. The tablet runs on the 2.3.1 Gingerbread operating system and will be sold at a price of Rs 25,000 and Rs 29,500 for the 16GB and the 32GB model respectively.

While the price and specifications puts it squarely in competition to the tablets from Samsung, but it can’t match the distribution network of the Korean giant.

The tablet has an 8 inch multi touch capacitive screen with backlit (1024 x 768 pixel resolution) widescreen display. This is a unique size in the tablet space where 7 inch, 9.7 inch and 10.1 inch are the norm.

The tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz A2918 cortex coupled with 1 DDR 3 (latest in technology). You get a choice of 16GB and 32GB of internal memory.

Other functions in TabTop PC are WiFI, Bluetooth, LAN for connectivity and a built-in module. It also has 2 USB slots, an HDMI port and a SD card port. The device has a 5000 battery which the company claims will provide up to 10 hours of battery life. Additionally, it comes with dual cameras (a front facing and a rear camera) and has Live TV capability.

“Milagrow TabTop PC is the perfect alternative to a desktop, laptop or other tablets for users computing, information, networking and entertainment needs,” said Rajeev Karwal, founder and chief executive officer, Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions.

The specifications of the tablet are decent enough for it to be considered against the best of the tablets in the market, all will depend on what is the quality of this product and how best the company can provide support. We will try and do a review to know all that.
