Microsoft is all set to hold an event in Shanghai on May 23rd, where it is reported that the company might reveal the ‘refresh’ version of the Surface Pro 4 lineup. Now, just before the launch, the press render of the upcoming 2-in-1 has been leaked online reveal some key design features.
According to a report by Venture Beat, the refresh version of the Window 10-powered tablet will be known as Surface Pro. The leaked images show that the upcoming device looks similar to its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4. You get a metallic body, and one can find a magnetic connector at the bottom.
The photo also shows optional accessories including Surface Pen in different colours. The report further highlights that the internals will be upgraded to the latest specifications, so one might expect Intel’s latest Kaby Lake processors will power the upcoming 2-in-1.
Further, the widely-rumoured Surface Book 2 will not be launched during the event, according to sources familiar with company’s plans. Previously, a Microsoft executive said that the company would not launch the much-rumoured Surface Pro 5 anytime sooner. In an interview with CNET, Microsoft Executive, Panos Panay, said, “You’ll see that same meaningful impact when Pro 5, or Pro Next hits the market. There’s no such thing as a Pro 5.”
