Microsoft has announced the launch of both Surface Pro 4 and even the Pro 3 in India. While price of Surface Pro 3 models start at Rs 73,990, the Surface Pro 4 models will be available Rs 89,990 onwards.
The devices will be exclusively available on Amazon.in for the first six months. While booking are allowed starting January 7, the deliveries will start from January 14.
The Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core i5 processor, 128 GB storage and 4 GB RAM has priced at Rs 89,990 while another model with i5 processor, 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM will cost you RS 1,20,990. The third model of Pro 4 with Intel i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage has a price tag of Rs 1,44,990.
The Surface Pro 4 has a 12.3 inch PixelSense display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It runs on 6th Gen Intel processor and expandable RAM facility – you can increase its RAM to up to 16 GB. It has a micro SD card slot as well. The hybrid tablet also offers 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE) and full size USB 3.0 port. Besides, the tablet has an 8 Megapixel rear facing camera, 5 megapixel front camera and access to all Office apps.
It has a multiposition kickstand. Microsoft is also offering a keypad for this tablet (which is sold separately) using which you transform this tablet into a laptop.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Intel Core i3 processor, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and 12 inch full HD display. This 800 gram heavy hybrid tablet claims to offer 9 hours of web browsing (battery capacity not known). Besides, it has WiFi (ac), full size, micro SD card reader, headset jack, 5 megapixel rear camera, and 5 megapixel front camera.
Currently only this version of Pro 3 is listed on Amazon.in. There are Intel Core i5 and i7 based models of Surface Pro 3 which we guess will hit the Indian market later.
Note that all versions of Surface Pro 4 and Pro 3 have Windows 10 Pro operating system. They also support the Surface Pen (a kind of stylus that looks like pen) but you have to purchase it separately.
