Weeks after launching the Surface Book 2 with 8th Gen Quad-Core Intel processor, Microsoft has announced the Surface Hub 2s which is essentially a 50-inch tablet PC for workplaces and businesses. The Microsoft Surface Hub 2s smartboard will be available for purchase for an asking price of $8,999 (approx. Rs 6,24,000).
The Hub 2s comes with 4K rotating cameo which will be pluggable on all four sides of the display and it comes with stereo speakers with an inbuilt sub-woofer and an eight-array far-field microphone. The device comes with a 50-inch 4K IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 3:2, protected with an anti-glare coating.
The Surface Hub 2s is powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core-i5 Quad-Core processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. There’s a stylus which can be attached to any side through magnets and controls different functions of the smartboard. The Hub 2s comes with a Microsoft Roam rolling stand and an additional battery pack which also acts as a shelf for the smartboard.
Connectivity options include four USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a Mini Display Out, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI out, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1. The Microsoft Whiteboard allows people to collaborate on a shared digital canvas from almost any device so it’s easy to pick up where you left off.
The Microsoft Surface Hub 2s smartboard will be available for purchase for an asking price of $8,999 (approx. Rs 6,24,000) from June 2019.
