Microsoft rolls out Windows 10 Anniversary update

The new update comes with a lot of new features and will be available to new machines first.

Microsoft has started rolling out the Windows 10 Anniversary Update today for all Windows 10 users. The new update claims to have a lot of new features and innovations that “bring Windows Ink and to life, an improved faster and power efficient Microsoft Browser”. Further it also brings some advanced security features and gaming experiences.

The update will be available for new machines first which comes pre-installed with Windows 10. The anniversary update will come to your Windows 10 device automatically through Windows Update if you have chosen the option to install updates automatically. Else, if you can’t wait for the update, you can manually install on your PC. However, if one is using a Windows 10 PC at work, he needs to check with the IT administrator for details on his organisation’s specific plans to update. Additionally, the new Anniversary update will start getting to Windows 10 Mobile phones in coming weeks.

6. New Emojis

Windows have revamped the entire set of Windows emojis making them more inclusive, detailed, expressive and playful.

7. Play Xbox anywhere

The new Anniversary update brings in Good News for gamers as Xbox Play Anywhere feature enables you to purchase a single digital copy of game, and then play it on both Windows 10 and Xbox One.

8. User-friendly Content

New accessibility architecture for Microsoft Edge supports modern web standards with Page structure now exposed to more clear and assistive technology. This makes browsing experience better for people of all abilities, claims Microsoft.
