Indian handset manufacturer Micromax, which has been maintaining a low profile for some time, will be launching another affordable dual SIM Android smartphone for Rs 8,000 in March this year.
To be named Micromax A78, the smartphone will have a 3.5 inch capacitive display and will be powered by Android 2.3 operating system. Besides, it will have a touchpad and QWERTY keypad.
“Micromax A78 will run on a 650 MHz processor and will be powered by a 1300 mAh battery. It will have a 3 Megapixel rear camera and 0.3 megapixel front camera for video conferencing,” company officials told The Mobile Indian on condition of anonymity.
On the connectivity front it will support WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone, with dimensions of 12 cm x 6.35 cm x 1.09 cm, will also come with an expandable memory slot that accepts up to 32 GB. Micromax A78 will have gravity and light Sensors as well.
