Micromax Superfone A85 now available for Rs. 18,990

Flaunting 3.8-inch display Micromax Superfone A85 features a dual-core 1 GHz mobile processor to power Android 2.2 Froyo and lacks LED Flash.

Micromax is expected to officially announce its first dual-core loaded smartphone, named Superfone A85, pretty soon. Running age old 2.2 Froyo, the Micromax Superfone A85 has been listed for Rs 18,990 at Flipkart.

This smartphone is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz microprocessor. Micromax has used a motion sensor to power an interesting user interface but there are no details on the same.

The new Superfone A85 comes with Android 2.2 Froyo and is expected to get Android 2.3 Gingerbread pretty soon. The Superfone A85 flaunts a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with WVGA (480×800) pixel resolution.

A85 will have a 5 primary camera at the back that is capable of capturing good quality images and will also have built-in image editor. Surprisingly there is no flash, a classic bummer that existed even with Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000. The secondary camera with 0.3 megapixel is present for video calling.

The phone supports up to 7.2 download speed over and also features WiFi, and A-GPS. Micromax has packed a 1500 battery but the continuous listed at 3 hours certainly looks like a mistake.

In terms of price, the Superfone A85 is quite steeply priced as couple of smartphones are available for around the same price offering Android 2.3 Gingerbread pre-loaded. For instance, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V for Rs 17,500 as well as Xperia Ray for Rs 19, 500, Motorola Defy Plus for Rs 17,990, LG Optimus Black for Rs 18, 990 are available in same price range.
