Micromax Selfie 3 with 16-megapixel front-facing camera, Android Nougat launched at Rs 11,999

The phone is available at all leading retail stores starting from today.

Micromax has today announced the launch of a new selfie-centric smartphone, the Seflie 3, in India. Priced at Rs 11,999, the phone is available at all leading retail stores starting from today onwards.

The major highlight of the smartphone is the 16-megapixel front camera with a Samsung sensor. The front comes with selfie flash along with face beauty modes. On the rear panel, the phone sports a 13-megapixel camera with Sony sensor, Super mode, Auto Scene Detection, Portrait mode, HDR and Night mode.

The smartphone comes loaded with a 5-inch Full display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 along with 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further via micro card slot.

There is also a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded on the rear panel of the device. Micromax Selfie 3 runs on Nougat and packs a 3000mAh battery, which the company claims deliver a talk time of 11 hours, music playback of up to 22 hours and a standby time of 250 hours. On the connectivity front, the device supports VoLTE, 4.2, WiFi, and port.

Commenting on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, Chief marketing and Commercial officer, Micromax said, “With over 93 million selfies being captured every day, people today take and retake pictures of themselves until it mirrors perfection. Moreover, the festive season is around the corner and people love to take selfies with their family and friends. This is the perfect time to launch the Selfie-3, just at the kick start of the festive season, to add on the fervour among the young consumers. The all new Selfie 3 is ideal for the users, delivering fantastic images, great beauty editing tools and capture their beautiful festive memories perfectly.”
