Indian handset marketer, Micromax has announced the availability of its Android 2.2 based first dual-core Processor loaded smartphone, named Superfone A85. Besides, it has also launched the X78, a touch and type slider phone.
A85 is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz microprocessor and has used a motion sensor to power an interesting user interface. The new Superfone is also expected to get Android 2.3 Gingerbread pretty soon. It flaunts a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with WVGA (480×800) pixel resolution.
Superfone A85 has a 5 Megapixel primary camera but surprisingly there is no LED flash. To address the video calling functionality, Micromax has fitted a VGA camera at the front panel of A85. It is available for Rs 18,990.
On the other hand, X78 is a feature phone at a price point of Rs 4,849. It is a touch and type slider phone which has a QWERTY design.
On the camera front, it has a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and 4x digital zoom. X78 also, features a 2.8 inch resistive TFT touchscreen display.
To keep users connected, X78 supports GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v3.0 and WiFi and comes pre-loaded with Opera Mini Browser and Google search.
