Micromax, Lava and Intex are the most trusted Indian mobile phone brands in the country, according to a study of TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory).
The Brand Trust Report 2016, which is sixth such study by TRA, covered 20,000 brands present in India including 23 mobile phone brands in which 11 are Indian companies.
“Micromax is high in trust in spite of losing market share. They should change strategy from pricing to innovation to keep the edge. The presence of a substantial number of Chinese and Indian brands highlights the evolution of the country’s mobile sector that is now posing competition to leaders,” said N Chandramouli, chief executive officer, TRA.
Samsung expectedly was the most trusted mobile phone brand with No 1 ranking. The other Indian mobile brands, which the study termed as promising, include Karbonn, Spice, Celkon, Xolo, Maxx Mobiles, Monix Mobile, Hitech and Geepee Mobile.
