Micromax has silently launched another Canvas series smartphone. The new smartphone, Canvas Spark 3 Q385, was found listed on Micromax’s website today. As its name suggests, it seems to be the successor of the Micromax Canvas Spark 2 which was launched last year for Rs 3,999. The new Spark 3 is expected to go sale soon.
Micromax Canvas Spark 3 features a 5.5 inch HD (1280 × 720) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Micromax Canvas Spark 3 comes with an 8 megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it offers a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 8 GB in-built storage which can be expanded to 32 GB through a micro SD card. It has a 2900 mAh removable battery.
For connectivity, the phone offers WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), A-GPS, micro USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. However there is some confusion regarding its connectivity. While Micromax is promoting Canvas Spark 3 as a 4G phone, in its specification page 3G is mentioned . Besides, the Spark 3 comes preloaded with apps such as Hike, OLX, Skype & Gaana. It also has 1.5cc Box 2509 speakerss.
We expect it to be priced around Rs 6,000 as it has low-end specifications.
