Micromax is gambling on the video frenzy Indian folks with the new ad driven Canvas MAd A94 smartphone. Sporting a 4.5-inch LCD display, the Canvas MAd A94 gives an option to the user to watch a video ad before making a call.
The user gets repaid in recharge coupons to get talk time. The Micromax Canvas MAd A94 is powered by a quad-core mobile processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. Micromax Canvas MAd A94 is being sold for Rs 8,100 from today onwards.
Micromax Canvas MAd A94 features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and is powered by 1.2 GHz mobile processor paired with 512 MB RAM to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smoothly. The phone offers 4 GB on-board storage and it has memory card slot to add more storage. At the rear, it has a 5 Megapixel camera to capture photos and there is a front facing camera.
Micromax has added 1800 mAh battery in this Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone and other features includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G network support in one SIM module.
At the same price bracket, the Micromax Canvas MAd A94 will compete with several other models such as Samsung Galaxy S Duos, Karbonn A30 and Spice Coolpad Mi-515 smartphones with similar features. However the unique proposition of getting paid for watching video ads makes it slightly different. Else, it is almost the same smartphone in terms of hardware like the aforementioned models.
