Micromax is reportedly planning to launch a toned down version of Micromax Canvas 5 smartphone as Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Q463. The smartphone will have a wooden black panel and is expected to be priced below Rs 10,000. Further, the report claimed that this special edition smartphone will be unveiled later this month and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart.
As far as specifications are concerned, Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is said to have a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, a 1GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It has a micro SD card slot and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the report added.
The purported Canvas 5 Lite is said to have an 8-megapixel shooter and an LED flash on its rear panel and a 5-megapixel camera on its front. The smartphone will come fitted with a 2000 mAh battery.
The older Canvas 5 smartphone was launched last year in the month of November for Rs 11,999. It has a 5.2-inch Full-HD display, 1.3 GHz Mediatek 6753 octa-core processor, 3GB DDR3 RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, 2900 mAh non-removable battery, 16GB of internal storage, and a 64GB micro SD card slot. It also has OTG functionality. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with phase detection auto focus technology. There are two LED flash lights in the back panel too. The Micromax Canvas 5 has a 5-megapixel front camera for which there is an LED flash light too.
This smartphone has two SIM card slots one of which offers 4G connectivity while the other is compatible with 2G networks. Besides, it has WiFi, USB port and Bluetooth.
