Meizu, along with the launch of 16X today also launched the Meizu 8X. The smartphone comes in three variants – 4GB + 64GB priced at 1598 yuan (approx. Rs 16,985), 6GB + 64GB at 1798 Yuan (approx. Rs 19,110) and 6GB + 128GB ay 1998 Yuan (approx. Rs 21,240).
Meizu 8X comes in Black, Blue and White colour variants and it will go on sale in China starting from 15 October.
Meizu 8X features a 6.2-inch (2220 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ notched display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 401 PPI. This is Meizu’s first phone with a notch-screen design. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU. The dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Flyme OS and is backed up by 3210mAh battery with mCharge fast charging.
For the optics, the Meixu 8X has dual rear cameras of 12-megapixel primary sensor with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, 6P lens and a secondary sensor of 5-megapixel. Front camera features a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, AI face unlock.
The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which the company claims to unlockthe phone in just 0.2 seconds. The connectivity features for the Meizu 8X has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB Type-C. The phone has dimensions of 151.2 × 74.6 × 7.8mm and weighs 160 grams.
