Meizu unveils its first smartwatch: Meizu Mix

The Meizu Mix has an all metal body design and looks like an ordinary smartwatch.

After a long round of speculations and rumours, Meizu has finally unveiled its smart watch with the name ‘Meizu Mix’. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched the smart watch in three choice of watch straps namely Denim, Leather and Stainless Steel and in two colors – Black and Silver.

The Meizu Mix has an all metal body design and looks like an ordinary smartwatch. This is because, unlike other smart watches like Moto 360 and Samsung Gear S2, Meizu Mix doesn’t come with a full digital display. The smartwatch comes with circular design and is 42mm in diameter with analogue watchface. It offers smart features such as notification light, 4.0 support, vibration alert etc. In order to pair your smartphone with the Meizu Mix, you have to install the Meizu app.

Apart from this, the smart watch reportedly comes with a Sapphire Glass and has a Swiss moment built. It also has an and gyroscope for tracking various activities. Regarding the battery life, the Chinese handset manufacturer claims that the Meizu Mix sports a 270mAh battery with a of almost 240 days. Well, it doesn’t seem ambitious given there is little to no digital display on the smartwatch. Also the Meziu Mix is and water-proof for up to 30 meters under water which is an added advantage.

As for the price, the denim strap variant will cost you CNY 1,000 (approx. INR 10,100) and the leather strap will cost at CNY 1,300 (approx. INR 13,100) and finally the Stainless steel strap will come at a price of CNY 1,500 (approx. INR 15,100)

Previously, Meizu also launched the MX6 smartphone last month at a price of CNY 1,999 (approx. INR 20,000). There has been no information regarding the launch of both Meizu Mix and MX6 in India.
