Meizu might announce a new smartphone series on August 10.
The China based company earlier today issued a teaser with the letter E which is being interpreted as an indication towards the new smartphone series (E series). As per the teaser, the event will be held at Beijing National Convention Center from 10:00 AM onwards on August 10.
As per reports, the letter E might mean EDGE display in the new Meizu smartphones. Incidentally, in the past a purported Meizu E phone was spotted with Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset. As per earlier rumors, the Meizu E series smartphone will feature a curved dual edge display and dual cameras at the rear. As per reports, a fingerprint scanner is expected to be embedded in the “on-screen home button” but we guess it is likely to be part of the off-screen home button.
As per earlier rumors, the Meizu phone might be launched in different versions – probably in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB internal memory. It is expected to have a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. It is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s Flyme UI on top of it
