Meizu MX6 reportedly launching next month, may have a 20.7MP camera

The smartphone reportedly will have the MediaTek's Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor and a 4000 mAh battery.

Meizu was expected to launch the successor of its current flaghship, the MX5, this June 20 but the company made no such announcement. Now new media reports are emerging from China as per which the purported Meizu MX6 will now be unveiled on July 19.

As per previous reports, the upcoming Meizu MX6 will have two versions – One with 3GB of with 32GB of storage and another with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone will have a metal unibody design, Full (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, a 4000 mAh battery, LTE support, Fingerprint scanner, and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Flyme OS on top of it. Further, as per reports, the smartphone will boast a 20.7-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. It also said to be powered by a MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor.

To recall, Meizu MX5 was launched in India last year at Rs 19,999. It has a full metal body and features a 5.5 inch with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution with 3 protection. The MX5 runs on the 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 Turbo processor with the help of 3 LPDDR3 RAM. The phone has a 20.7 megapixel primary camera that comes with laser aided focusing technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected lens. For selfies, it offers a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has f/2.2 aperture, 6-element lens, burst mode and dual tone flashlight features. The MX5 has a fingerprint scanner as well.

The Meizu MX-5 is equipped with dual offering 4G connectivity. Besides, there is 3150 mAh battery in the phone which comes with mCharge technology that claims to charge it to 60 per cent in just 40 minutes. Besides, it has dual WiFi, micro USB port and 4.1. This Android 5.0 Lollipop based smartphone has no expandable storage.
