Chinese device maker, Meizu is reportedly launching a phablet and a smartwatch this October 21. The phablet is said to be a part of its Blue Charm series and is said to come with an aluminum body. If launched, it would be the second phone of Meizu’s Blue Charm series after the Meizu Pro 5 which has a premium design and built inside an Aluminium body.
Meanwhile, a mysterious watch of Meizu has been spotted on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. There are four images of the device which seems to have been captured an an event. The images clearly shows Meizu logo on the back of the device. As per the images, the watch comes with leather black strap.
As far as the phablet is concerned, Meizu has already sent invitations to Chinese media organisations for an event on October 21 where it is expected to showcase the device. As per rumors, the Meizu Blue Charm phablet will come with a 5.5 inch display with 1080 x 1920-pixel Resolution and an octa-core Processor clocked at 2 GHz. It is said be have 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded by another 128GB through a micro SD card.
The purported Meizu Blue Charm Metal is expected to have a 13 Megapixel camera at the rear and a 5 megapixel at the front. It is also expected to be slimmer at 8.2mm thickness and said to come with Alibaba’s YunOS (YunOS 3.1.6) operating system.
The Blue Charm Metal phablet will be officially unveiled at an October 21st event. There is no word on pricing and availability yet about this phone. We’ll let you know the confirmed specs once there is an official launch of Meizu Blue Charm Metal. Color options for the phone would be White, Grey, Pink, Blue and Gold.
Recently Meizu unveiled Meizu Pro 5 that has a 5.7 inch full HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Display with 2.5D glass front panel and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by an octa core (quad 2.1GHz + quad 1.5GHz) Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. For graphics it has a Mali T760 GPU.
The 3 GB RAM model offers 32 GB in-built storage and in 4 GB RAM version there is 64 GB of in-built storage. Meizu Pro 5 comes with a 21.16 megapixel autfocus rear camera with dual tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. For Selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera with OmniVision’s OV5670 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 3,050 mAh Battery. It runs on Flyme operating system 4.5 based on Android 5.0 which is upgradable to Flyme OS 5. The Meizu Pro 5 offers 4G LTE connectivity as well, and supports both TD-LTE, FDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA networks.
