After launching the Meizu M5 Note smartphone in China recently, a new Meizu smartphone named as Meizu M5S has now been spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA. The Meizu M5S is listed twice with two different model numbers – M612Q and M612M but share exactly same set of specifications on TENAA. Along with the TENAA certification, the Meizu M5S has also passed China Compulsory Certification (3C) with the same model numbers.
As per TENAA, both M612Q and M612M features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel and is powered 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor. Both the phones come in three variants – 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage in all the variants can be further expandable up-to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphones runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and are backed up by a 2930mAh battery.
Both smartphones sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Besides, the smartphones offer 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, a microUSB port, WiFi, GPS. The handsets measure 148.2 × 72.53 × 8.4 mm and weigh 138 grams. Further, as per listing, the smartphones will come in Silver, gray, gold and Rose Gold colour options.
As per reports, there is a possibility of a fingerprint scanner embedded on the physical home button at the front. Meizu is expected to announce the smartphones in CES 2017 event which is scheduled from January 5 to 8.
