After series of leaks and teasers, Meizu has finally released is new flagship Meizu 16s smartphone yesterday at an event in Zhuhai, China. The smartphone comes in three variants- 6GB of RAM with 128GB internal memor priced at Yuan 3,198 (approx Rs 33,286), the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage will costs Yuan 3,498 (approx Rs 36,398), while for 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage you have to spend Yuan 3,998 (around Rs 41,598). The smartphone is available for pre-orders on Meizu China website and will be up for sale starting 28th April. The Meizu 16S comes in three color options- Condensed White, Carbon Black, and Phantom Blue.
The smartphone features a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Display with 2232×1080 resolution and 91.53 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Meizu 16s comes equipped with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and is backed up by a 3600mAh non-removable battery with 24W fast charging support. The device runs on Flyme OS 8 based on Android 9.0 Pie and has in-display fingerprint sensor.
For the optics, The smartphone bears a dual rear camera setup with combination of a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor, F/1.7 Aperture with LED flash and a 20MP secondary telephoto lens with Sony IMX350 sensor. On the front, it has 20MP Samsung 3T2 sensor for selfies. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device measures 151.9×73.4×7.65 and weighs around 165 grams. As far as sensors are concerned, it has accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, Infrared sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with mEngine 3.0 and HyperGaming support.
